Situated only a couple of kilometres away from all alpine ascents that lead up to the Pokljuka plateau, our chalet marks the perfect base for seasoned bikers who can ascend long, challenging switchback passes to climb up to the plateau (700m+ ascent) only to race back down to the lakes in 40 minute+, dizzying descents with spectacular views of the mountains and lakes. There are likewise numerous gravel and mountain biking paths right outside the property for all levels of gravel- and mountain biking enthusiasts. Rest assured that we have indoor storage facilities in which bikers can safely store and lock their bikes and not think twice about their security.

Farmhouse Chalet Apartments is likewise an ideal starting point for family friendly biking vacations. The village of Nomenj is located conveniently on a recently completed bike-only path between Lakes Bled and Bohinj. This path hugs the Sava Bohinjka river as it meanders through the scenic Bohinj valley between the lakes and offers bikers fresh mountain air and beautiful views of Bohinj’s pristine nature. There is no need to use the car once one arrives to Nomenj, because the village is accessible to all restaurants and grocery stores by bike. In fact, there is no need to drive down to Slovenia, because 200m from the house is a train station that connects to international lines that run to Slovenia from neighbouring Austria, Croatia, Italy, and Hungary. Road- and gravel-bikers can descend down to Lakes Bohinj and Bled in the valley and then make their steep ascent back up to the chalet to enjoy a renewing Finish sauna session in our luxurious spa. Pokljuka is one of the most beautiful, forested karst plateaus in the Alps. Families and friends can spend weeks blazing down majestic forest trails through Triglav National Park. The cacophony of surrounding spruce forests and wild flowers whilst trailing over natural energy points fill up your senses and, in turn, awake your spirits and revigourate your soul. While biking, once can likewise enjoy:
