Both Chalet Trzinka in Pokljuka and Farmhouse Chalet Apartments in Bohinj are ideal accommodations for ski enthusiasts of all disciplines. During the winter, Pokljuka is an exclusive alpine paradise with a ski season that can stretch from late November until April. A ski-in chalet, our property at 1400 m is surrounded by groomed as well as touring cross country ski trails. 200-300 m away from the chalet is also the Pokljuka Family Alpine Ski Centre and Sport Hotel Pokjluka Ski Centre where children can ski on beginners’ slopes and take lessons while parents work out on adjacent cross-country ski trails or snowshoe. We can also arrange for cross-county ski lessons for adults as well as children. Both ski centres feature restaurants and huts that serve gluhwein, drinks, pizza, as well as savoury Slovenian dishes for days when one does not feel like cooking in the chalet.
The Pokljuka plateau is also home to Slovenia’s premiere cross-country ski centre only 3 km from Chalet Trzinka, the Rudno-Polje Biathlon Alpine, and Cross-Country Ski Center that hosts prestigious international biathlons and world cups. In addition to Hotel Centre, a restaurant and bar, along with shooting facilities, the ski centre is hub to hundreds of kilometres of groomed trails through the surrounding mountainside—including runs through beautiful villages such as Zajamniki. Rudno Polje likewise features the Viševnik Alpine Ski lifts that take skiers up to 2049 metres to enjoy more advanced alpine slopes. Chalet Trzinka, furthermore, is only a 25 km distance (30 minutes) from the Vogel Alpine Ski Cenre located above Lake Bohinj and the neighboring Kobla/Soriška Planina Family Ski Centre 8 km away.
Farmhouse Chalet Apartments in the Bohinj Valley is likewise ideal for families keen on alpine and cross-country skiing. Vogel Ski Resort is only a 20 minute drive from the chalet and can also be reached via the Bohinj ski bus gratis. Kobla/Soriška Planina is only a 10 minute drive from the property.
